APV4CAM Universal 4-way camera switch interface

Description:

The APV4CAM is a universal multi camera switch interface that enables multiple cameras to be connected to an aftermarket AV headunit or display. It features four RCA camera inputs (front, rear, left and right) and one RCA video output which connects into the video input on the aftermarket display. The inputs are voltage triggered determined by driver behaviour, with the rear camera input automatically activated when the vehicle is shifted into reverse and side inputs prompted by the turn signals. The APV4CAM is the perfect interface when multiple cameras are being installed on a vehicle.

Features:
  • Allows up to four cameras to connect to a single display
  • Four RCA camera inputs (front, rear, left and right)
  • Single RCA output for connecting to compatible aftermarket AV headunit or display
  • Connects directly to analogue turn signal circuit with flash eliminating signal buffer for uninterrupted side camera activation
  • Priority override for reverse camera signal
  • Provides reverse camera output trigger for aftermarket radios

  • NOTES:
    • Video Inputs / Outputs: The 4 inputs have priority in descending numerical order (eg. Input 2 will take priority over Input 3 when Input 2 is triggered). Input 1 has the highest priority and is therefore optimal for the connection of a reversing camera in many applications.
    • Triggers: Positive Input triggers accept input voltages in the range of 2.5V to 12V. A voltage of less than 2.5V will fail to enable the channel. Negative Input triggers must be connected to ground to enable a channel. Do not connect both + and - trigger wires for a given channel. The reverse trigger output provides a 100mA 12V (Positive) trigger whilst any of the input triggers are activated. Upon deactivation of the last positive or negative trigger, the last video input source and the reverse trigger output will remain active for an additional 3 seconds.
